Dune BE is a cut-down version of Synapse Audio Dune Synthesiser, the only differences with the full version are as follow:
– no FX unit
– only 32bit
– only 128 presets
You can get a better idea of what this synthesiser can do by listening to their audio demo on their website or by watching the following videos:
Note: the videos are not made by us and the sound may not be optimal.

KX77FREE has updated Kx-Modulad to version 2.21 and Kx-synth-x16 to version 3.2. Changes In Kx-Modulad v2.21
New classified presets. Kx-Synth-x16′s LP12, LP 6 filters added. Improvement of the Soft Sync (Vco2). Internal presets management (fxb, fxp, copy, load, save). Skin improvement: grey outlined and pop-up menus. Power off to the Ring Modulator, Lfos, S&H, Noise and synchronized clocks. Less CPU use in sleep mode. Optimization of modulations to the Vcos, -15% of CPU use when all of them are used. Less CPU use when the Prg Change works again. The Fx decay did not stop during the Prg Change. The filter selectors was alway on “R:LoM” (first preset). Fixed bug: wrong Fx initialization in some case (2.20 bug). Internal presets management (fxb, fxp, copy, load, save). New parameter: “Mod” to use only one envelop. Skin improvement with pop-up menus. The synchronized clocks go in sleep mode when they are not used. The envelop loop mode (“Lp”) could not be enabled when the envelop sustain.
Dec 13, 2010: Crystal goes 64 bit! With version 2.5.0, Crystal is now available as a 64 bit plugin on both Windows and OSX. The OSX installer installs both Audio Unit and VST plugins which are capable of 32 or 64 bit. The Windows download includes both 32 and 64 VST versions, so you can put the appropriate one in your plugins folder.
Crystal is a semi-modular software synthesizer featuring both subtractive synthesis and frequency modulation (FM) synthesis. Crystal offers abundant modulation control with over 90 parameters which may be modulated, multi-stage envelopes with graphical editors, extensive tempo sync of envelopes / LFO rates / delay times, built-in effects for chorus / flanging / comb filtering / echoes, and a band splitter for effects processing by frequency band. Not only that, Crystal has wave sequencing, granular synthesis, program morphing, MIDI learn, and imports SoundFonts. http://www.youtube.com/v/IduNXwktVAE?fs=1&hl=en_GB

Always some good stuff on KVR this time these are some famous amp emulations .
Original thread : Lovely ReChromE and ReGolD finally release. Sound so close to some famous amp through my ears. Using some components in the phenomenal RevolutionZ with new flow model inside. Result less noise and natural sound with 4 + 4 oversampling. 4 oversampling for every gain staging, give cristal clarity just like real preamp/amp. Better tone stack and carefully parts selection. Face your 2011 Album/single with ReChromE and ReGolD, lets get prepare and fasten your seat belt. Happy New Year 2011, a gift from me. "For The Love oF The Sound" Ronald Passion Engineering 2010

Sir Elliot has released Eighteen Band Graphic Equaliser, a free equalizer effect plug-in for Windows. "The 18-Band Graphic Equaliser performs best on midrange, which appears to be a dieing art in a lot of commercial music these days."
Eighteen Band Graphic Equaliser Features
- 18 selectable frequency bands ranging from 20 cycles to 19,000 cycles.
- Level Control.
- A.C. Switch.
- LED Power Indicator.
- Adjustable Frequency Range: 20 – 19,000 kHz.
- Frequency Bandwidth: 5 – 24,000 kHz +/- 2.4 dB.
- Note: Frequency Bandwidth is based on 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192 and, 384 kHz sample rates.
- Optimised for high sample rates ranging from 88.1 kHz – 384 kHz, however will perform fine on lower sample rates such as 48 – 44.1 kHz.
- Fixed Delay.
- Power Consumption: 44.1 kHz: 5.9 % / 88.2 kHz: 12.3 % / 96 kHz: 15.0 % (based on a Pentium 4 single-core 2.8 GHZ computer using Windows XP (Non Service Pack) operating system).

LePou Plugins has released a Mac OS X VST version of LeCto.
LeCto is a free guitar amp simulator inspired by an American modern high gain head. This simulator has 2 channels with 3 modes on each channel. It can go from crunch (raw mode) to modern high gain (modern mode). Features:
- Oversampling: determines the signal oversampling; up to 8x.
- Mono/stereo: determines the signal routing.
- Input: controls the magnitude of the input signal.
- Drive: controls the amount of gain.
- Low: controls the low frequency.
- Mid: controls the mid frequency.
- High: controls the high frequency.
- Presence: presence control.
- Resonance*: controls the amount of resonance resulting from the interaction with the speaker cabinet.
* Only active on modern mode LeCto is only an amp simulator, so you need to use a cabinet simulator.
From their blog :
LeCab2 is the evolution of LeCab1. It's a cabinet (guitar or bass) impulse loader. LeCab2 offers : – 6 impulse slots – Latency control (down to 64 samples) – Dropdown menu built with the .wav files contained in the directory where the last impulse is loaded – Next and Prev buttons to navigate through the impulse directory – Solo button for each slots – Channel selection for each slots – Possibility to link the loaded impulse of 2 slots (other controls stay independant) – High Pass and Low Pass filters for each slots – Phase, Delay, Pan and Volume controls for each slots LeCab2 has been specifically design for relatively short impulse response such as guitar and bass cabinet. Too long impulse response are going to be truncated. Impulse troncation could lead to what's call frequency leakage and then produce atrifacts in the low and high part of the frequency spectrum as shown in the figure below where the blue line is the frequency response of a truncated impulse. This figure has been captured with Voxengo SPAN.
As can be seen, unless under extrem case, these artifacts can be eliminated with the low and high pass filters as provided by LeCab2 for each slots.
