Optimization of modulations to the Vcos, -15% of CPU use when all of them are used. Less CPU use when the Prg Change works again. The Fx decay did not stop during the Prg Change. The filter selectors was alway on “R:LoM” (first preset). Fixed bug: wrong Fx initialization in some case (2.20 bug). The SP-1200 was THE drum machine & sampler combo of legendary status among old school rap and hip hop artists from the eighties and nineties. It is similar to today's Akai MPC samplers – it is a sampler plus drum machine. It has limited sampling specs: 26.040 kHz and 12-bit resolution. However the dirtiness of that sound is great for hip hop and house music. http://www.vintagesynth.com/emu/sp1200.php
The free pack consists of "105 x 24 bit wavs created using an SP1200.Gritty, warm and dripping in sweet 12 bit dirt."

Here is a small description of the beast by HollowSun
It was a cheap and cheesy toy and it sounded fairly horrible… but what else would you expect from a toy manufacturer's attempt to cash in on the emerging drum machine market of the early '80s?
Someone at Mattel…. who are famous for their Barbie dolls and other children's toys… obviously had this idea that the company could (somehow) capitalise on this trend and make a few bucks.
To be fair to Mattel, though, whilst everyone else was scurrying to make drum machines that played patterns, the Synsonic was more like a kid's mini-Simmons that could be played manually using the four large velocity sensitive pads.
Of course, it was all analogue – no samples – and as a result, not one of the sounds was in the slightest bit realistic!

Dec 13, 2010: Crystal goes 64 bit! With version 2.5.0, Crystal is now available as a 64 bit plugin on both Windows and OSX. The OSX installer installs both Audio Unit and VST plugins which are capable of 32 or 64 bit. The Windows download includes both 32 and 64 VST versions, so you can put the appropriate one in your plugins folder.
Crystal is a semi-modular software synthesizer featuring both subtractive synthesis and frequency modulation (FM) synthesis. Crystal offers abundant modulation control with over 90 parameters which may be modulated, multi-stage envelopes with graphical editors, extensive tempo sync of envelopes / LFO rates / delay times, built-in effects for chorus / flanging / comb filtering / echoes, and a band splitter for effects processing by frequency band. Not only that, Crystal has wave sequencing, granular synthesis, program morphing, MIDI learn, and imports SoundFonts. http://www.youtube.com/v/IduNXwktVAE?fs=1&hl=en_GB

From MassiveSynth mailing list :
Phased Chords were pioneered by Steve Reich and used to great effect by the likes of Boards of Canada in their music. In this tutorial we'll look at how to create the effect within NI Massive using the Stepper modulation.

Again, From a thread on KVR:
I have created a small gift for all of you for the holidays. A collection of many of my sound fonts from my collections – over 500MB worth – free for you to use as you like. The Cloudplayer VST makes a great soundfont player as well and is included. There is no catch. I just decided to be nice and share with all of you – in time for most of the holidays (late Chanukah present). Here is where you can get it: www.hardcoreharmonics.com/freebie/cloudplayer.rar There is no warranty and I only had time to create 20 presets. Just load the freebie bank into the VST player and have fun! Mike
