Kent Sandvik releases Kent Loop Collection Vol 6 – EMS Synthi

From his website :

by Kent Sandvik

Kent Loop Collection Volume 6 EMS Synthi XILS3

KENT LOOP COLLECTION VOLUME 6 – EMS SYNTHI

EMS Synthi was a portable synthesizer done in the early seventies by EMS, used by Pink Floyd, Todd Rundgren, Steve Hillage and other similar artist. This volume contains 50 synthi-like loops made with XILS Labs XILX 3 plug-in in the tradition of synthi-like sounds, sequencer patterns, odd bleeps, effects, as well as leads and bass lines.

Some of the loops use a compressor but most of them are clean so you could experiment with various compressor and other effect settings.

APPLELOOPS-LOGIC

These are green AppleLoops. If you don’t the plug-ins, just drag the loops into an audio track so the pure audio is used.

Drop the folder inside your loops directory and Logic will index these loops.

ABLETON LIVE

With Ableton Live, just drag them in from any location.

LOOP INDEX NAMES

synthi – synthi/XILS loops

bass – bass lines

pat – patterns, sequences and so on

lead – melodic loops

drum – drum loops

pad – pads and athmospheric loops

varispeed – varispeed

khx is my personal prefix.

LICENSING AGREEMENT

You are not allowed to make crappy music with these loops. Make hippie-electro music with these loops.

To download these samples simply go on his website:

George Yohng: 4Front Rhode, vintage Rhodes-typed piano VST for Mac and PC

This is a vintage Rhodes-typed piano module with a gentle overdrive. This module reproduces the classic sound similar to RSP73 pianos. The sound generation is not based upon samples, thus there are 127 continous layers provided with a vintage rhodes smooth overdrive. Unlike many other software modules and samplers, this module will never overload CPU. It will never stick notes, and never interrupt the sound during live performances. Listen to Rhode demo! All sounds except bass and drums – 4Front Rhode VSTi. The demo features multiple rhode presets and filter automation, also modified attack/release controls (pro version). Bass sound is4Front Bass Module VSTi. If you need techical support, have questions or other inquiries, use the feedback box form below.

Xhip Releases: Freeware Effects Bundle

This freeware bundle is based on the never-finished Xhip VST synth , that has gathered so much praises on the KVR forum. (Personally I think it is an ordinary synth though, go figure )

From this thread on KVR

http://xhip.presetexchange.com/effects/

it includes so far: clipper, compressor, gate, limiter, modulated delay, phaser, quantizer, reverb, ringmod, tremelo. i want to get these tested for bugs/issues and any tweaking or extra additions before i get ben to post this in the news. let mek now what you think or if i've left out anything in these effects. for a partial list of what i'm working on see http://presetexchange.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8 it would also be great to get short demo mp3s of the effects in action – if they were about 200 – 500k that would be perfect. i can do this myself, but i don't really spend enough time messing around with audio these days to really test these and produce demos for them.
